Belgium and the ‘latex brat’!

24 Nov

I completed NaNoWriMo!!! I decided to edit two books I’d already written rather than take on yet another book in a month with two tours in it, but I completed the 50,000 words of editing today and am chilling in bed with tea, diamante and lace (making something for a shoot) and 90s films.

See? Did it.

I arrived back from Belgium about 24 hours before the places I had just been visiting were put on lockdown. I’m sending all my love and best wishes to my friends back over there. Stay safe. <3

I was pleased to see a lovely display of openness, generosity and solidarity from Milton Keynes Muslims when I went to town at the weekend. A giant banner with #NotInMyName and people standing ready to chat about life, the universe and everything, even though it was freezing! When I was at school, I remember religious discussions were often led by people we knew (for example our Muslim computer technician who was a familiar face around school and someone we could ask as many questions as we wanted. This was before Islamophobia became rife as far as I know, as this memory is from when I was about eight years old!)
It was nice to share snacks, photos and life stories with open-minded friendly people before my bus arrived.

Here are a couple of my travelling pictures from this Belgium trip!

Antwerp Central Station

The view from my shooting apartment in Brussels- the sunset made the buildings opposite look like opals!

I was staying with fellow model Riona Noire, her husband and menagerie of animals (with varying degrees of snuggliness). :D
If you do not know Riona then you should click the link above and look at her, as she is awesome, beautiful and has some top secret projects going on that she can’t talk about. The suspense is killing me! :P
Here she is on the left, with me and Sara Scarlet. Photo by Mew-Chiel

While I was in Antwerp, I shot for KinkyStyle again- yay! Photographer Patrick is always a lot of fun to work with- we rarely plan outfits in advance so both turn up with cases of latex to choose from and bounce ideas around. I really like getting the chance to play different characters and last time we worked together he brought a latex hoodie, a pink top with “BITCH” across it and some fingerless gloves. As I rarely do ‘cute’, I had to try the outfit on…
And it fit! :D

So let me present… THE LATEX BRAT!

Pigtails and heels are serious business…

Bitch? Moi? …

… don’t make me laugh!

So what have you bought me?bitchiebrat_17

No diamonds? In Antwerp???

Get out of my sight!

:P :P :P

I’m thinking about carrying a few packs of stick-on fake nails to any non-nude shoot- I’d have loved some really pointy pink ones with little bows on them for this set!

This time, we managed five different looks! As I make a lot of my own clothing I wanted to show my own style a little more, so wore a black latex bodysuit with New Rock boots, my holster bag from Jungle Tribe and my homemade Winter coat. No full length pictures yet, so have some selfies!

As it’s past midnight here in England and I’m surrounded by glittery things, I’m going to put the kettle on and sign off! There’s a beautiful rainstorm tonight and I can hear it pounding on the roof. :)

Goodnight all,

p.s. Are you doing a longterm project that feels like an uphill battle? Spare a thought for this guy! He’d been trying for 6 YEARS to photograph a diving kingfisher… and he finally got it!
I’ve very jealous as there is a kingfisher at the marina and I watched him catch a fish the other day. I have a soft spot for them as I think they’re the closest thing to hummingbirds we have in England- weeny jewel coloured things that squeak. <3

22 May

I’m back! I had one of the best weekends ever in Berlin and it reminded me how glad I feel to have friends all over the world that I’d never have known if not for my modelling work. <3 I’ll post a proper update later but just wanted to share some photos with you now.

Here I am walking for Ardita Fetish Fashion, with a sneak peek from the back of the camera during my shoot with Belinda Bartzner. I am so tempted to buy this dress. <3

And I couldn’t *not* show you this shot of the gorgeous designer Barbara, wearing more of her designs. You can just see me on the right. :D

Though I didn’t get the “Fetish Model of the Year” Award this time (well done though to Sinteque, who did), my sponsor Yummy Gummy latex won “Best International Startup Company”. I’m so proud of her- she’s my latex scientist (I refer to her studio as The Lab) and can’t wait to see what she does next.
Have another sneak preview- I’m wearing my custom-made Yummy Gummy bodysuit and Pandora Deluxe harness.

As I can’t be everywhere at once, sadly, I missed an exhibition I featured in, but can now show you the photos! Photographer Kirsten Thys Van Den Audenaerde shot a project focusing on portraying various fetishes from ponygirl and heavy rubber to bondage and ballet boots. Mine was leather and everything I’m wearing here is from my own wardrobe. ;)

So what next? I’m leaving for Ireland on Monday for a week, with an awesome nude shoot in a castle, a sold-out studio day and one day off for wildlife spotting. Irish people, if you know of anywhere near Dublin or Cork that is slightly derelict and/or reclaimed by nature, please let me know.

June is scheduled for some downtime, as this month has been so crazy that I’ve been away from home more nights than I’ve spent in my own bed. I want to get my bathroom looking the way I want it (Cthulhu themed, aqua blue, black and white with a bit of gold) and spend some more time on the roof reading. :)

I may be investing some money into a couple of gorgeous brightly coloured latex catsuits- very exciting, especially for you shiny fashion fans who should be following my facebook- there will be MANY more shiny pictures coming. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Roswell-Ivory-model-and-writer/152654844767588

Also, please keep voting! I’m around place 30 and need to be in the top 12 to win another latex catsuit! You can vote EVERY 24 HOURS, remember? http://www.latex.at:80/en/all-models-voting/?id=187
Thankyou. <3

Speak to you soon- I’ll blog again before I leave.

Travelling Light…

12 May

Berlin, here I come! I’m off again for a few days celebrating German Fetish Weekend with my ‘industry family’. It’s one of the only chances I get to see people all together as we all live in different countries. (The other time is Dominatrix, in Holland).
I haven’t been for years but have always had a good time… and always seem to model in pink! I’m walking in the show for Ardita Fetish Fashion so am looking forward to seeing what she’s made for me. Maybe she’ll break the ‘pink streak’? ;)
I also just heard the lovely news- thankyou so much to all my fans and voters, I am shortlisted for the award of Fetish Model of the Year 2015!

Left: My first GFB, walking for HMSlatex. I’m at 5:10 and 7:02  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WI5R93o50k
Right: Walking for Am Statik, with Luna Eve. We’re at 2:57  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgFVwlM3MiY

For possibly the first time ever, I’m just going to have fun- I haven’t booked any work so that I have total freedom to explore, party and picnic in the Tiergarten (with the resident goshawks, fingers crossed!) This means I’m not dragging the 30kg purple suitcase of doom- hoorah!

I’ve only had a home for just under a year. Before I moved onto my boat, I lived on friends floors, in hostels and the occasional hotel- which I thought was going to be a dream come true! I’m good at travelling, used to sleeping on airport floors and very resourceful. Oh, and I love adventures. The idea of a nomadic lifestyle while enjoying a creative job sounded amazing (and still does if you haven’t factored certain things in…) What hadn’t occured to me was the baggage I’d be taking along. Modelling is my full time job, so I almost always have the purple suitcase of doom attached to my right hand.
There is a huge difference between backpacking all over the world with total freedom to travel and the occasional paying job to keep you going, and constantly moving from hostel to hostel carrying baggage that must not go astray. That heavy weight on my body began to feel like mental weight too and I was sick of it all very quickly. Now, I’m making time to travel without restrictons and excess baggage, so am taking my favoutite latex, some snacks… and that’s it.
I’m also going to Switzerland in July and staying in a hippy/artist commune between shoots. <3

In a total contrast- earlier this year, I shot with Luci-Alice in a gorgeous hotel. I think I look like a fashionable Bond villain here- it seems to be a common theme with me, lol! :D

I’m modelling Kaori’s Latex Dreams and just LOVE the shoulders on the top!

I have a monster to-do list today and would like to get it all done before sunset so I’m going to sign off now. ;) Thankyou again for your sheer awesomeness.
If you’d like to continue supporting me, please pretty please keep voting for me- I’d love to win a latex catsuit!
Just follow the link and very quick instructions: http://www.latex.at/en/all-models-voting/?id=187

Much love,

Beauty in Shadow

14 Apr

I’m back from a lovely sunny few days in Somerset with Anita De Bauch and am now sitting down to catch up on my emails and organise my next tours, which will be Berlin, Ireland, Manchester and Norfolk.

First though, I’d really appreciate your support with a couple of things I’m doing. Pay attention at the back there! :P
1) I’m in a competition to win a custom-made latex catsuit!! (As you may guess, this is something I would love to have.)
All you need to do is click the link here and click ‘vote’. That’s all. No signing up to anything.

2) I’m in the running for the award of “Fetish Model of the Year”! If you could please follow the link here and vote me as highly as you think I deserve, that would rock as well! It’s a little less user-friendly- you need to cycle through the pictures, which are displayed at random, but the plus point is that you get to see more beautiful ladies.

There you go! Any help would be appreciated.

So, as the days are getting ever-so-light now, I struggle with conflicting wants and wishes! On one hand, I love the clouded days in which I write with a mocha nearby. On the other hand, I sit on my roof and watch the world go by on sunny days. It’s only then that I can truly get to know the creatures and life around me- and on that note, Mr Toots the kingfisher is back! Apparently he returns on bright days so I’m staking out the bank.

Somerset rolled with the hills, caves and gorges we lack in Milton Keynes and apart from seeing one of my best friends “in her natural habitat”, it was a relief to finally shoot outdoors again without fear that I’d freeze to death! So many lambs everywhere, lovely food, kind people- and we found a slow worm in the garden. Look at her little face!
Anita christened her ‘Fern’ and I added ‘The Turbo Snake’- in case she has a complex about being a slow worm. (They are neither slow nor worms- they’re legless lizards.) ;)

I also saw pipistrelle bats flittering around at dusk! I couldn’t capture them on my slow phone, but it’s lovely to see them again after what has felt like a long winter. They’re the smallest found in Europe and a friend of mine used to call me a pipistrelle when I was a thirteen year old Goth…  a teeny tiny little bat. Ha ha ha!

Another thing I’m noticing more and more is that the sunsets are drawing out and are even more orange. Despite the Spring frolicking I’m doing at the moment, I can’t help but think it would be perfect for a Film Noir shoot or two in London, or maybe a Milton Keynes underpass. (Just a quick snap taken outside Wagamama…)
I love the moodiness and atmosphere of Film Noir shoots! I shot these back in January with David Morley, in Saracen House studio.

A lot of you have been asking about the petition results from my blog “Between My Legs”. Sadly, petitions about Jeremy Clarkson were more popular and now that the general election is upon us, politicians have better things to do- like bitch and moan at each other on National television… I’ll blog properly about the wider issue when I have a little more time, but I promise this is not forgotten.

So, for now I am going to enjoy the light and practise not feeling guilty for being out in the sun. We humans do need our sunlight hours, after all. And when the shadows lengthen, I’ll write my little socks off (when I’m not stretching, that is. I can get my foot under my chin now!)
These were taken by Simon P Shaw last year, in Blackbarn studio and perfectly capture the peaceful kind of darkness.

I’ll leave you with some lessons learned in one of my favourite childrens’ books. A sticker for guessing which! ;)
Dark is: exciting, kind, fun, necessary, fascinating, wonderful, beautiful.

Until sunrise, people!

p.s. I just got a message from another of my best friends- the olive-skinned gypsy nude model Madame Bink. I’d like to share her blogpost with you- please have a read and see if you can make her smile today.

Springing sundial

20 Feb

So I’m back on the Mothership and catsitting now I’ve returned from a mini tour, and what a fantastic week it has been! :D

– I went to visit a friend’s new home, full of curiosity cabinets, tea, skulls and wood/glass sculptures… and stroked a chinchilla for the first time. They’re strange little things- like living marshmallows!
– I did a photoshoot in a tranquil, friendly yoga studio, with yet more tea and artwork everywhere. On the pinboard was the yoga students ‘weekly thought’ and interestingly it was something I needed to read:
Aparigraha: Greed rooted in jealousy. For example, wanting more than you need just because someone else has it. I’m proud to have very successful friends and of course I’m happy for them, but often evaluate my own accomplishments as not being enough, so it was nice to see a reminder that this is a thought pattern I need to let go of.
– I met a couple of friends I’ve spoken to online regularly but never actually met in person! It’s always a bit nerve-wracking but we got on like houses on fire and I hung out with a gigantic dog too. :D
If you have a sense of humour, do check out my friend’s creative endeavour: The Beezly Street Gazette. It’s a Daily Mash-esque satire and really very funny.
– I attended an engagement party for my beautiful Kitty Wood Photography and “Beardy Stu”… and I’m now a bridesmaid for the first time! During that weekend, I became a mermaid, dressed like an 80s rockstar, ate my bodyweight in sausage rolls, lost a French Fry crisp between my boobs and got the hideously early coach back home then flopped into bed. Congratulations to the happy couple! :D
Here I am with the bride- who has a great blog HERE:
– I nipped up to Manchester for a quick shoot (the hostel made me feel very at home- on a riverside with Canada geese and boats) and arrived back to a very cuddly, very clingy Mog.
Today’s been a day of chilling and though I will be answering emails etc over the next week, I’ll be a little slow as I’m enjoying some much needed downtime. Hope you understand. :)

In my last blog, I hoped that the preview would work and bring some Spring warmth… and it’s worked! There are snowdrops everywhere, daffodils are peeking out above the earth, catkins hanging on the trees and though it’s still chilly on the boat, I’m not as deathly freezing as I was and my hot water bottle is sulking redundantly in the corner. I even went for a long riverside walk and had a ‘singing’ conversation with a robin.
So here are some more pictures from the awesome Follyhouse team, who I’m planning my next shoot with. Hooray!

I didn’t notice the seasonal parallels until I started uploading them here!

A few more:

For the latex and heavy rubber people, why not check out Marquis Magazine on the 25th? There’s a feature and several pages of yours truly wearing the shiniest of latex. I’m so, so excited to show you those pictures (and my new shoes). ;)

Now, I’m going to have a Zen-stretching session in front of the fire I just made . I shot with Sense8 Photography the other day and for the first time on camera, achieved this!!! (In yoga, it’s called the Compass or Sundial pose). I cannot wait to shoot this pose in latex and may have the chance at Dominatrix Weekend next month, where I’m stomping the catwalk again!

Speak to you in five days! ;)
