Roswell on canvas

6 Mar

I post a lot of blogs with photos of myself (and don’t worry- that isn’t stopping any time soon!) but recently I’ve had a period of getting booked by artists and painters, which is always interesting! A looooong time ago when I used to watch soaps (not telling you which though 😉 ), there was a hilarious episode in which a character was booked by an artist. She had a lovely experience eating grapes and being told how beautiful she was, but when the painting was unveiled, it looked a bit like this…

She was horrified but I think I’d think it was hilarious if it happened to me!
I now pose for a lot of life drawing classes, which is a little nervewracking (always worried I’ll sneeze or my stomach will rumble!) but interesting getting to see the styles other people have.

Here are just a few of the pictures I’ve had the chance to snap after a class at Windsor and Eton Fire Station (awesome class):

I can’t remember who the artists are- if one of these pictures is yours, please let me know so I can credit you! Thanks! 🙂

After a class, artist Dan Stepanek booked me for a painting session! First, he took some pictures of me, then projected them onto the wall and took some more with me posing in front of them- much fun! 😀 He sent me a picture of one of the paintings recently- here you go!

Roswell 3

I’ve not been online much recently as I’m working on my novel (due to send off on March 31st). Today’s been a good day- a quarter of a chapter done. Bad days consist of constant fridge raiding and internet checking. Not doing so well now as life has imitated internet art…
but I’m positive for tomorrow. 😀

Now, I posted on my facebook* page earlier today asking what I should blog about today. I actually have a blog saved up about inspiration (sort of) which I’m holding for a couple of days along with a post about why Carol Vorderman drives me insane, but another lovely fan would like to hear something funny. Now, that I can do right now!
Guess what happened the other day? Well… I won a Mills and Boon novel in a poetry contest for writing a poem called “Bus Love”. It involved people having sex in the back of a bus and could be the most ridiculous thing I have ever written (and won, lol!)

Still, it made my night (along with chocolate cake and hanging out with the lovely Anita De Bauch (who got a round of applause for being in love- yay!)and Madame Bink. We were watching Bink’s musician fiance Jack Broadbent play at a music and poetry night.)
Here they are- Bink being fluffy and gorgeous, Jack really isn’t a street preacher no matter what this picture suggests, and Anita reflecting in the window like a sexy 50s ghost!

Later in the week, I broke Anita while stretching together (never fear- she’s fine!) and gave myself a mohican for a shoot. Here we are with guest appearance by Lilith the hairless cat.

* Thankyou to all the lovely fans who shared my facebook page– I met my target and then some!! I’ll be drawing a name out of my awesome hat later this week and one of you will win a lovely signed picture!

I’m off now as the internet is distracting. Speak to you all soon!

p.s. Are you on Zivity? If so, my new set is live! It’s called “Salute” and I’ve linked it HERE! If you aren’t on Zivity, that’s no problem- you can unlock it for only two dollars! 😀 Just click the link and follow the instructions.

Backward thinking

17 Dec

It seems as though it was only a few days ago I was running around among Autumn leaves in as many countries as I could reach! Now that it’s winter, the sunsets are always amazing- as if the weather is trying to make up for the fact that we’re all so cold! I don’t mind the cold so much (especially as I’ve booked some time off modelling and can curl up in front of the fire) but the nights are a bit too short for me. I’m looking forward to Spring shoots already…

I have some fantastic travel planned for next year – you can keep an eye on my diary on the temporary page I’ve just added at the top next to my “About the Girl” page. 😉

The last one is a bit of an outtake- the wind blew my skirt up and I couldn’t keep it down! Every single time I lifted my hands, the wind started again and eventually we gave up! 😀

As I need to go and pack for my last two shoots of the year (!) I’m off now. Speak to you soon!

p.s. If you’re feeling extra Christmas Spirit-y, I have an Amazon wishlist here. I send a return gift to anyone kind enough to buy me a present! 🙂

Sooooooo… Montreal!

15 Sep

I arrived in Montreal officially a tumbleweed having left my hometown just the previous day. It’s a good thing most of the people were really friendly and spoke English, as my French is embarrassingly awful and I was in no condition to do much. A couple of nights (and days) sleep in the hostel and it was time to start the show…
I was booked for four events over the three days, beginning with a fashion show for the debut of Dawnamatrix’s textured latex line!

Here’s me backstage in my outfit- which I still maintain had the coolest chaps in Montreal! I also got to wear a gorgeous burgundy dragon-scale bra and thong (which must be mine in the near future…)

I’m still waiting for more fashion show images but will post them when I get them…

I was sharing a hotel room with acrobat Fonda Feeling, fellow alt model Deanna Deadly and TS porn star Tara Emory– I love talking to other people who don’t have normal jobs! We generally rocked our room. 😀

*phone rings*
Tara: *creepy voice* Bobs morticians- you kill ‘em, we chill ‘em…
*babbling on the other end of the phone*
Tara: *slightly less sure creepy voice* Ummm… So you got any bodies for us?
Tara: *very very polite* Oh… sorry I thought you were someone else. Could we have some more towels please?

Just opposite us were most of the Vengeance Designs team and there were rather a lot of naked dashes across the corridor 😉

I was booked for the Vengeance Designs show on Saturday but sadly things went a bit pear-shaped in the form of me being horribly ill. It was the first fashion show I’ve ever had to cancel, which sucked, but I got to watch from backstage. Have a look at the video- it’s kinky and fabulous.
Thankyou to everyone for being so lovely to me and making sure I was okay, especially you three- you know who you are.

I felt well enough to do my next booking the next day, which was a photo-walk across Montreal! If you’re a latex fan, you’re going to love this…
I wore a floor-length red dress with art-deco cape, both by Dawnamatrix.

We went to some brilliant (and watery) locations to get our picture taken- I’m not sure what the public made of us on the subway! Check this out!

The upside down acrobat was my roommate Fonda Feeling. 🙂

Miss Daenerys Targaryen here is Dawn of Dawnamatrix designs! 🙂 (Of course, the outfit is her own and can be bought from her website)

Another roommate- Tara Emory!

One of the only people not in latex- and she looks so HAPPY! Impossible not to smile 🙂

Caught in the middle!

I was feeling a little homesick… and then I saw this guy! We did pose together too- if you have seen the pictures, please link me!

Isn’t she cute!? I didn’t notice I was in the background until I’d saved the image, lol!

LOVE this photo. That is all.

Spot the Roswell! 😉

A few hours lie-down and some banana frozen yoghurt (thanks Dawn and Ben!), and it was back to the Olympia for a steampunk-themed night. (I’ll have a talk about steampunk later, I‘m sure.)
I wore the most gorgeous and unique caduceus-patterned dress and can’t wait to see the video of the show…

L-R: Lilly Bordeaux, Jinx, Onna Sakura, Ben, Dawn, Billie Prudence, Me

Monday contained a yummy breakfast at Cora’s, some major relaxation and a photoshoot before Tuesday’s flight to New York… (More about that later…)

Apologies for the rather documentary-ish blog today! I’ve had so much to say, I’ve forgotten a lot of details. 😦
Normal Roswell-ish rants and rambling will commence shortly!

For now, have a teaser picture for my next blog…

Somewhere beyond the sea…

30 Mar

I said a very sad (for me) goodbye to my lovely friend Kitty (aka Pirate Photography) last week. She’s moving North, which I guess means I’ll have to take a train soon to a place with hills. Norwich is so flat that there are three hills- all of which have names.

On our last shoot together for a while, we went with photographer G Haskew to the beautiful sunny beach with an armful of latex kindly lent by Anatomic Bomb. We bounced around shooting for a few hours, before getting chips and spoiling the ducks, who gave us the “please feed me chips” big eyes. Can’t resist the big eyes. :S

I did the hair and make-up for the shoot and as I knew it would be difficult to change much when we were out in the wind, I went for a “pin-up-meets-Bond-girl” look that would work with all three outfits.

Hair/MUA: Me
2nd photographer/assistant: G Haskew

Channelling Madonna in the “Don’t Tell Me” video, lol!

If you want to see the rest of the set, you’ll have to come and join Zivity! I’m planning to do some self-shot sets this year…
More pics to come…

I fell so in love with this dress that I ordered one for myself!

And here are some behind-the-scenes shots from G Haskew:

Someday, I must actually go to that peninsula…

Don’t you just love the little painted beach huts?! I’ve been wanting to have my picture taken with them for ages!

Being bossed around by Kitty 😛 (I have *no* idea what was going on here!)

Don’t ask. I have no memory of this. 0_O

Hooray for chips! (And the little running duck in the foreground)…

I’m currently doing the biggest Spring-clean I have ever done- there are boxes I haven’t opened since I moved here! It also means I’m going to be selling some of my old clothes and shoes- this includes super high heels and latex. I hope to have it all photographed by the end of next week so keep your eyes out for some bargains.

I also have some exciting news- some of the free prints available in my upcoming prize draw will be the very sexy leather-y photos from my last blog! 😉

I can’t wait to tell you all about my South Coast Tour- I have some lovely pictures of the scenery and the furry friends I met. I’m currently planning my next tour- which will be Scotland in May. My approximate dates are the 7th-17th and I am planning to visit Edinburgh, Stirling and Elgin. If you’d like me to visit your location, please let me know. I’m a little pushed for time this time, due to other bookings (like the German Fetish Weekend!)

In the meantime, have an outtake: (by Pirate Photography)

Eurotour: Part 4

28 Oct

And so my Berlin trip continues! As a shoot or two got postponed and Tom came to be a tourist for a weekend, I had the chance to:
– Try Bubble Tea (amazing stuff. Want some now)
– Eat yummy Indonesian lunch with Matthieu Richardoz and WildAtHeart
– Stay at the Propeller Island Lodge Hotel
– Eat strudel and Haagen-Dazs
– Visit the Neue Museum (it has the bust of Nefertiti in it)
– And snuggle cute things

So have some more Berlin…

Outside at the Neue Museum: (I would have loved to shoot here but sadly it is so busy here that it would have been impossible.)

Inside the Museum! (Not allowed to take photos of Nefertiti, but she was very pretty- and had one white eye 😀 )

This is ancient Assyrian (I think!) I’d love to be able to read it- check out the writing!

We went into Potsdamer Platz for some food and instead found huskies! Even people I know who don’t like dogs in general make an exception for huskies. 🙂

Who can resist a huskyball?

THIS is where we stayed. Seriously, open the link and check out the rooms. They rock.

When Tom headed back to the land of Cheddar, queues and wonderful wonderful Marmite, I went to stay with the lovely Nina Ann and her adorable cat Mitzy who purrs at 100 decibels and eats attention like my cat Mog eats tuna.

We rocked a pub quiz (Oh yes, we knew our Rocky Horror Show), had amazing cocktails and ate toasted sandwiches. It was really really nice to be able to hang out with friends again after staying a week in a hostel- I’d had an attack of the lonelies. 😦

On my last day in Berlin, I went with a new American friend (Hanna) to sightsee- and discovered Tacheles. It’s a former Nazi/SS hangout that has now become an artists commune. It is about seven storeys high, covered in graffiti (arty graffiti) and each room houses an artist or three, and a lot of beautiful things for sale. (Sadly I was not able to buy- I had a health emergency and had to spend precious euros on a doctor, but I WILL be back next year for that fish necklace.) They even had a teeny garden for people to make huge metalwork sculptures!
Seriously, it is an amazing place. If you’re going to/currently in Berlin, it’s almost opposite the Synagogue.

These pictures don’t do it justice so click on the link above.

I added something… 😉 And yes, it is a London tube map- I couldn’t find my notebook. (I really NEED that “fantastical creatures” origami book I saw in Waterstones…)

Me being acquainted with a real German:

I was sad to say goodbye to these guys: (L-R: Nina, Hanna, Me)

And snugglebunch here:

These two pictures illustrate how I saw Berlin better than anything I can say:

Everything is so beautiful, but so much of it is covered in bullet holes. You literally cannot escape the history behind the place (not that you’d want to- but you can’t). Everything that isn’t big ,ancient and majestic is bohemian and (eco-) friendly. (Like the “improved” traffic light.)
If I could live anywhere that isn’t England, I’d pick Germany at the moment- and probably Berlin. I’m planning to tour the whole country next year so if you’re a German photographer and interested in booking me, it’s never too early to get in touch.

So, I moved on to Amsterdam- which comes in my next post. But then I came back to Germany (Mulheim) for a day to shoot with Hart-Worx. It was only a few days ago but I already have a picture back!

Photographer: Hart-Worx
Designer: HMSlatex (Custom)
Make-up/wig: Me

More on their way- we shot lots of gorgeous outfits and I sloshed make-up and hair stuff about. I love getting the chance to style myself! 😀

Here are a couple of behind-the-scenes pics from our last set:

Why do dogs *always* gatecrash my shoots??

Am I above bad pony puns?

p.s. Yesterday, I had one of the best days of my life. Until someone I think highly of told me I’m pessimistic. :/ I don’t think I’m pessimistic but just in case, here’s a list of things that have made me happy/laugh recently.

– Seeing wild boar for the first time (and the biggest herd of deer I’ve ever seen)
– Trying to mime “red squirrel” to a Dutch photographer who didn’t know the word in English
– Beginning my second draft of my second novel “Saving Bailey”
– Being e-mailed by one of my best girls with a party invite, saying it would mean a lot if I could be there (thanks Amy!)
– Seeing windmills (even though I get the song about the little mouse in old Amsterdam in my head Every. Single. Time.)
– A very immature joke about singing in the shower (If I know you IRL, you’ll be subjected to it soon enough)
– Reading Bill Bryson’s “A Short History…” and recognising names (I wanted to be a palaeontologist when I was little)
– New nude photos (you’ll see them soon)
– Having a fascinating and argument-free conversation about religion/censorship with a new friend.
– Seeing someone fold a bike in half on the train. I’d never seen it done before!

Happy enough??

If not, I challenge anyone not to smile after seeing this.
