22 May

I’m back! I had one of the best weekends ever in Berlin and it reminded me how glad I feel to have friends all over the world that I’d never have known if not for my modelling work. <3 I’ll post a proper update later but just wanted to share some photos with you now.

Here I am walking for Ardita Fetish Fashion, with a sneak peek from the back of the camera during my shoot with Belinda Bartzner. I am so tempted to buy this dress. <3

And I couldn’t *not* show you this shot of the gorgeous designer Barbara, wearing more of her designs. You can just see me on the right. :D

Though I didn’t get the “Fetish Model of the Year” Award this time (well done though to Sinteque, who did), my sponsor Yummy Gummy latex won “Best International Startup Company”. I’m so proud of her- she’s my latex scientist (I refer to her studio as The Lab) and can’t wait to see what she does next.
Have another sneak preview- I’m wearing my custom-made Yummy Gummy bodysuit and Pandora Deluxe harness.

As I can’t be everywhere at once, sadly, I missed an exhibition I featured in, but can now show you the photos! Photographer Kirsten Thys Van Den Audenaerde shot a project focusing on portraying various fetishes from ponygirl and heavy rubber to bondage and ballet boots. Mine was leather and everything I’m wearing here is from my own wardrobe. ;)

So what next? I’m leaving for Ireland on Monday for a week, with an awesome nude shoot in a castle, a sold-out studio day and one day off for wildlife spotting. Irish people, if you know of anywhere near Dublin or Cork that is slightly derelict and/or reclaimed by nature, please let me know.

June is scheduled for some downtime, as this month has been so crazy that I’ve been away from home more nights than I’ve spent in my own bed. I want to get my bathroom looking the way I want it (Cthulhu themed, aqua blue, black and white with a bit of gold) and spend some more time on the roof reading. :)

I may be investing some money into a couple of gorgeous brightly coloured latex catsuits- very exciting, especially for you shiny fashion fans who should be following my facebook- there will be MANY more shiny pictures coming. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Roswell-Ivory-model-and-writer/152654844767588

Also, please keep voting! I’m around place 30 and need to be in the top 12 to win another latex catsuit! You can vote EVERY 24 HOURS, remember? http://www.latex.at:80/en/all-models-voting/?id=187
Thankyou. <3

Speak to you soon- I’ll blog again before I leave.

And

Travelling Light…

12 May

Berlin, here I come! I’m off again for a few days celebrating German Fetish Weekend with my ‘industry family’. It’s one of the only chances I get to see people all together as we all live in different countries. (The other time is Dominatrix, in Holland).
I haven’t been for years but have always had a good time… and always seem to model in pink! I’m walking in the show for Ardita Fetish Fashion so am looking forward to seeing what she’s made for me. Maybe she’ll break the ‘pink streak’? ;)
I also just heard the lovely news- thankyou so much to all my fans and voters, I am shortlisted for the award of Fetish Model of the Year 2015!

Left: My first GFB, walking for HMSlatex. I’m at 5:10 and 7:02  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WI5R93o50k
Right: Walking for Am Statik, with Luna Eve. We’re at 2:57  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgFVwlM3MiY

For possibly the first time ever, I’m just going to have fun- I haven’t booked any work so that I have total freedom to explore, party and picnic in the Tiergarten (with the resident goshawks, fingers crossed!) This means I’m not dragging the 30kg purple suitcase of doom- hoorah!

I’ve only had a home for just under a year. Before I moved onto my boat, I lived on friends floors, in hostels and the occasional hotel- which I thought was going to be a dream come true! I’m good at travelling, used to sleeping on airport floors and very resourceful. Oh, and I love adventures. The idea of a nomadic lifestyle while enjoying a creative job sounded amazing (and still does if you haven’t factored certain things in…) What hadn’t occured to me was the baggage I’d be taking along. Modelling is my full time job, so I almost always have the purple suitcase of doom attached to my right hand.
There is a huge difference between backpacking all over the world with total freedom to travel and the occasional paying job to keep you going, and constantly moving from hostel to hostel carrying baggage that must not go astray. That heavy weight on my body began to feel like mental weight too and I was sick of it all very quickly. Now, I’m making time to travel without restrictons and excess baggage, so am taking my favoutite latex, some snacks… and that’s it.
I’m also going to Switzerland in July and staying in a hippy/artist commune between shoots. <3

In a total contrast- earlier this year, I shot with Luci-Alice in a gorgeous hotel. I think I look like a fashionable Bond villain here- it seems to be a common theme with me, lol! :D

I’m modelling Kaori’s Latex Dreams and just LOVE the shoulders on the top!

I have a monster to-do list today and would like to get it all done before sunset so I’m going to sign off now. ;) Thankyou again for your sheer awesomeness.
If you’d like to continue supporting me, please pretty please keep voting for me- I’d love to win a latex catsuit!

Much love,

Golden Fire

2 May

How fitting that I should choose this title just as the “golden crown scene” in Game of Thrones came on! (If you haven’t seen it, a whingy annoying man gets the crown he wants in the form of molten gold poured on his head. :P
Here’s a behind-the-scenes of me wearing a much nicer crown I made myself:
WP_20140216_005
It was Beltane yesterday and I have spent most of the last few days with friends and cake, exploring the outdoors. The name means “bright fire” and it’s a pagan festival a bit like Valentine’s Day in the sense that couples can pledge to each other and celebrate the union between the green man and goddess (blossom and thorns, male and female entities etc). You can read a bit about the festival here, if you’re interested. Next year, you’d find me bouncing around the enormous fire in Glastonbury with any friends who want to come.
If you can’t wait that long and would like to see me dancing around some standing stones, why not look at the rest of this Zivity set, called “Neolithic”?
The photographer is Andrew Shiels and the pictures were taken in Ireland.
You just need to click here and if you aren’t a member, it’s only about $3 to see the whole set- hooray! :)

Today is apparently Naked Gardening Day! Seriously, I’m not joking. As the sky is grey and very unappetising, I don’t think I’ll go out and prune the roses. Also, I don’t have roses. Or a garden. :P I do have a photo of me naked in a garden though.

I’m off to prepare for another photoshoot tomorrow with Luci Alice, and a beautiful Croatian model friend- and to continue with a new writing project.

Take care and have fun, whatever you are doing today!

P.S. Sadly, due to cheating(!) the votes for all models in the latex catsuit competition have been set back to zero. This means all the votes you kindly collected for me are gone. :(
Could you please take the time to vote for me again? It only takes a minute and I’d really appreciate the suppprt. Thankyou so much. <3

Beauty in Shadow

14 Apr

I’m back from a lovely sunny few days in Somerset with Anita De Bauch and am now sitting down to catch up on my emails and organise my next tours, which will be Berlin, Ireland, Manchester and Norfolk.

First though, I’d really appreciate your support with a couple of things I’m doing. Pay attention at the back there! :P
1) I’m in a competition to win a custom-made latex catsuit!! (As you may guess, this is something I would love to have.)
All you need to do is click the link here and click ‘vote’. That’s all. No signing up to anything.
http://www.latex.at/en/all-models-voting/?id=187

2) I’m in the running for the award of “Fetish Model of the Year”! If you could please follow the link here and vote me as highly as you think I deserve, that would rock as well! It’s a little less user-friendly- you need to cycle through the pictures, which are displayed at random, but the plus point is that you get to see more beautiful ladies.

There you go! Any help would be appreciated.
________________________________________________________________________________

So, as the days are getting ever-so-light now, I struggle with conflicting wants and wishes! On one hand, I love the clouded days in which I write with a mocha nearby. On the other hand, I sit on my roof and watch the world go by on sunny days. It’s only then that I can truly get to know the creatures and life around me- and on that note, Mr Toots the kingfisher is back! Apparently he returns on bright days so I’m staking out the bank.

Somerset rolled with the hills, caves and gorges we lack in Milton Keynes and apart from seeing one of my best friends “in her natural habitat”, it was a relief to finally shoot outdoors again without fear that I’d freeze to death! So many lambs everywhere, lovely food, kind people- and we found a slow worm in the garden. Look at her little face!
WP_20150410_18_17_33_Pro
Anita christened her ‘Fern’ and I added ‘The Turbo Snake’- in case she has a complex about being a slow worm. (They are neither slow nor worms- they’re legless lizards.) ;)

I also saw pipistrelle bats flittering around at dusk! I couldn’t capture them on my slow phone, but it’s lovely to see them again after what has felt like a long winter. They’re the smallest found in Europe and a friend of mine used to call me a pipistrelle when I was a thirteen year old Goth…  a teeny tiny little bat. Ha ha ha!

Another thing I’m noticing more and more is that the sunsets are drawing out and are even more orange. Despite the Spring frolicking I’m doing at the moment, I can’t help but think it would be perfect for a Film Noir shoot or two in London, or maybe a Milton Keynes underpass. (Just a quick snap taken outside Wagamama…)

I love the moodiness and atmosphere of Film Noir shoots! I shot these back in January with David Morley, in Saracen House studio.

A lot of you have been asking about the petition results from my blog “Between My Legs”. Sadly, petitions about Jeremy Clarkson were more popular and now that the general election is upon us, politicians have better things to do- like bitch and moan at each other on National television… I’ll blog properly about the wider issue when I have a little more time, but I promise this is not forgotten.

So, for now I am going to enjoy the light and practise not feeling guilty for being out in the sun. We humans do need our sunlight hours, after all. And when the shadows lengthen, I’ll write my little socks off (when I’m not stretching, that is. I can get my foot under my chin now!)
These were taken by Simon P Shaw last year, in Blackbarn studio and perfectly capture the peaceful kind of darkness.

p.s. I just got a message from another of my best friends- the olive-skinned gypsy nude model Madame Bink. I’d like to share her blogpost with you- please have a read and see if you can make her smile today.

The Dark and the Light

3 Apr

A belated Happy Ostara to you all, and Easter wishes to Christians. :)
WP_20150225_15_52_31_Pro WP_20150322_11_07_05_Pro

I’ve had a hell of a week and haven’t felt much like blogging, so I’m making extra effort on this one while listening to one of my more eclectic playlists (Pearl Jam, hippy folk music and truly trashy current hits).

Not to dwell on the negative, but just about everything that could go wrong went wrong and I ended up slouched on the back of my boat looking like a wet sponge covered in mascara. Not to mention my faith in humanity taking a bashing as petitions centred around Jeremy Clarkson got more attention than Female Genital Mutilation… Thanks to some wonderful friends and their good wishes, I’m feeling a lot better and almost ready to face the world again.

So… HAPPY OSTARA. It’s also known as Eostre (as in, where we get the word Easter from- Easter is in fact based on this festival.) It’s also known as the Spring Equinox- the days are now officially longer than the nights! It’s a time to celebrate mating and matching, birthing and hatching and all that is light and happy, so I’ve decorated my boat with daffodils and pictures of March hares, and gathered feathers from the marina birds. I’m also burning a lovely beeswax candle Anita De Bauch left me when she stayed to boatsit while I was in Belgium.

Today’s blog’s going to be a little different as I’m going to share little moments and memories rather than my usual ramblings. Here goes…

THE DARK:

Behind-the-scenes from a luxurious hotel shoot with Luci-Alice and Anita De Bauch. I’m still choosing the pictures from this shoot- it’s always extra fun when shooting with friends.

A misty morning in Holland as I prepare to leave crocus-strewn Haarlem for a fetish shot further North.
WP_20150311_09_00_14_Pro

This spine I discovered while on a nude shoot on location! Can anyone tell me what it is from? Both photographer and model would love to know. It was large- about the length of my hand! A rabbit? A hare?
WP_20150313_14_37_27_Pro

This picture taken by Ben Ernst, in an artists studio. The artist painted big, colourful abstract pieces just for fun and this is actually the reflection of one of his pieces. While I posed, I could hear birdsong from the woodland outside and was actually very happy and at peace despite the ‘sad’ curled-up pose.
11073959_849050961821665_1700697432_n

Another one by Ben Ernst- this time in a sculpture park by the sea! All the pieces were immense, made with metal and stone, and I loved the weathering on them. As I paint and draw too, I have a lot of respect for sculptors for leaving their work outdoors. It must be a strange experience seeing your work changed by the elements: I’d be back every day to check on them and read them a bedtime story! :P

THE BETWEEN:

Ben Ernst again, and back in the artist’s studio. I LOVE these- I think because of the slightly otherworldly lights above me… my science-fiction brain says I look like I’ve just been- or am about to be- abducted by aliens. :D

“I-  I wanna look into the sky and I see a strange light, everything is alright, everything is alright
Newton Faulkner- U.F.O. (listen to the lyrics- there’s wine and an anal probe mentioned. Ooh-er, Mulder and Scully… LMAO!)

11081580_849050978488330_355334239_n

THE LIGHT:

Being taken on a foodie tour of Brussels centre with the day’s photographer Kirsten (pictures coming soon- they’re some of my new favourites!)  I wished I could bring these home but they’re meringue and I didn’t think they’d survive the journey.

I’m off- I want to drink tea, eat one of the big crunchy apples I bought today and watch something silly.
