Ponybright and proud.

6 Feb

Hey everyone!

I’m back at the Mothership, lighting a fire to warm my freezy little bisexual hands. I got up late, as I’d had a late bisexual night, I ate my bisexual breakfast and now, I’m writing a bisexual blog entry. (And three guesses what I’m about to write about…) ;)

For those of you who don’t know or aren’t in the UK, I’m very proud of my country today as UK MPs have voted in favour of legalising gay marriage by a landslide. Currently, gay people are allowed to have what is called a “civil ceremony/civil partnership”. It entitles couples to the same legal rights as a “married” couple, but is not called a marriage. Until recently, civil ceremonies could not be conducted in places of worship and did not include religious texts or hymns.

I have enormous respect for the real, historical Jesus Christ, in the same way that I respect the teachings of the Buddha and the Dalai Lama as I believe that all religions have something good to teach the world. In light of this, I believe that a man who preached an overwhelming message of love no matter what and defended marginalised members of society (at that time) would be disgusted at the hypocrisy his legacy has sometimes provoked. Jesus himself said nothing about gay people, and the two people in the Bible who mentioned it in any way also preached a whole lot of crazy that is now discarded. The MPs who used outdated quotes to vote against this ruling have no valid argument. None.
Anyway, back to my bisexual coffee…

One of the best things I have read is a statement by Liz Feldman:
“It is very dear to me- the issue of gay marriage- or as I like to call it, ‘marriage’. You know, because I had lunch this afternoon, not gay lunch. I parked my car- I didn’t gay park it.”
The term is now ‘equal marriage’, I think. (And hopefully one day, it will just be ‘marriage’. ;)

Well done, UK- I’m so proud of you!!! :D

And so, as I have no rainbow pictures (that’ll change soon as I have plans), I will post the next best thing…

You can’t tell from the pictures, but we were fighting against a mini-sandstorm and I kept getting blown around! Much fun though, as always. Berlin is most definitely one of my favourite cities- it’s the only place I could walk around dressed like that, with a bendy whip and not get stared at too much.

I’m off to have a chat with some magazine-y types now, so will speak to you soon.
Oh, and while I remember, I hear that a certain few fans of mine have been petitioning to put me on the cover of Skin Two. Thankyou guys, that is enormously flattering and utterly awesome. All I can say is keep it up, lol!! You’ll be the first to know if your advice is taken. :P
If you want to join in, my feature is here: http://www.skintwo.co.uk/roswell-ivory-model-and-writer/

Oh, and one more thing! Can anyone recommend anywhere lovely (and preferably not too expensive) to visit in the Edinburgh area? I’m touring again as of the end of this month and want to see amazing things while I’m on the road.

Another magical forest

14 Jan

I never get fed up of shooting in forests- every few weeks, I get an entirely new backdrop to interact with and new plants and creatures to look for- especially when I’m shooting outside of the UK.
Last time I visited the Netherlands, I found wild boar, red squirrels, nuthatches (I think) and deer. I also discovered Dutch pancakes. Not a creature, I know, but still seriously amazing. ;)

I got these pictures from Frits aka Studio3nl a little while ago but didn’t have the chance to post them up! So here you go- it was a beautiful day, if a little muddy. Though we tried hard to be discreet, we did nearly cause a man to fall off his bicycle, which made me nearly fall off the tree stump I was posing on!! Utterly hilarious- it was a multi-quadruple-take, as he kept swinging back off his seat just to check I wasn’t a figment of his imagination, LOL!!

Wish me luck- I’m about to head South (hopefully ahead of the snow) for some outdoor nudes… though hopefully my “Narnia coat” will get another outing too… ;)

Got to dash!

Putting feelers out…

6 Dec

Hello! Happy December to everyone! :D

I’m keeping the promise I made to myself three years ago- that one day, I would look forward to Christmas again. Well, I have bought a lovely hummingbird tree decoration, am watching the robins bounce around my feeders and am actually getting excited when I hear my favourite Christmas songs. I’m also up to my ears in craft stuff as this year’s family policy is “make, bake, sew or grow”. ;)

Okay, winter stuff over…..

Photographers (and fellow models), listen up!

I’m considering renting a little villa, apartment or hotel room somewhere lovely and sunny for a week in January or February. My plan will be that it is spacious and bright enough to shoot in (I’m available for fetish, nude, boudoir, fashion, beauty etc etc…) and in easy distance of nice locations in which to shoot too. Other models, if you’re interested in sharing/shooting with me, get in touch.

Photographers, you’d be flying to the area and staying nearby (If I get enough interest, I’ll put together a list of local hotels/B+Bs)
Now, there are flights to Venice, Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon etc for around £30 and it’s off-season so hotels shouldn’t be crazy expensive, so this should be do-able in theory.
Estimated rates are about £180 for a half-day and £280 for a full day, but this is not set in stone yet-0 I need to do a little more research.

If anyone is interested in this idea, get in touch asap so I can get an idea of whether I can this could work or not. :)

I’ll leave you with some of my favourite shots of me in warm and sunny places (even if they don’t look so warm, lol!)

The Abstract

19 Jan

I’m having a quiet month at the moment while I work on writing, but I still have some shoots (and a fitting for a lingerie company!) coming up. I also made my debut on Beltbound on Sunday.

Writing-wise, I’ve just published an article with Univers D’Artistes and it’s all about abstract art-nudes. Go and have a look- you can see some of my favourite pictures there as well. :) (My next piece is going to discuss wherther genital photography can ever be artistic.)
I’ve been waiting to post that particular article on art-nudes because it goes so well with the rest of my photos from Allan Schaap (in the Netherlands)!  The first set (taken in a woodland)  are in a previous post HERE. I can’t say enough what a great time I had in Lelystad where we were shooting! It’s a part that was reclaimed from the sea and has a desert in the middle. It was such a surprise to see it after leaving the leafy woodland and reminded me a little of the ‘dead’ planet in Pitch Black!

See!?

I could see the desert a few feet away!

Washed here by the ghosts of waves…

And then we found a log!

There’s something very strange/eerie about this set that I like- maybe it’s because you can’t see my face. Definitely some of my favourite art-nudes that I have done- and I’d love to do more on a similar theme. Can you tell I have a ‘thing’ for abstract(ish) art-nudes at the moment?? ;)

This is Allan and Joyce photographing me photographing them photographing me…
