Note to photographers: I’m almost completely fully booked for the rest of the year. If you’d like to discuss a booking in January, do get in touch!
Anyway…
Well, knock me down with a feather! It’s been over a month since I was nude on my blog, (mostly because I’ve been doing a lot of latex and leather modelling), and it’s lovely to be able to share some good news with these images!
Firstly, congratulations to Brian Hopper, who has won the Silver FKM Award for a photo of me! It’s called “Veiling The Nude” and here it is:
And last March, I was touring the South Coast (and will probably do so this March or April too…), and posed for artist Nelson Aquini, around a concept inspired by Francis Bacon’s work. “Three Studies for Figures at the Base of a Crucifixion”. He’s finished the painting- check it out!!
Before beginning the shoot, I had a bit of an exploring session around the studio. As a painter myself, I love to see what other artists do and how they put their work up. It was amazing to see so many styles and sources of inspiration in one place!
I’m inspired by so many things and after a lot of persuasion from my friend Pirate Photography, I’ve created a Tumblr account so I can post some of the things that inspire me, as well as older images of me that I think need another outing.
At the moment, I am trying to upload an image *every day* so if you’d like more of a Roswell fix, follow me!
I’m off to continue part 2 of my novel…
ROSWELL xxx
p.s. Mog Tales:
My cat came home injured the other day. Don’t worry- he’s fine, no matter how much he’s milking it at the moment. (Just a scratch and a limp- both are gone now). I asked my mum to keep an eye on him, then went out with a friend. While shopping this conversation happened:
L: “So how’s he doing? Is he okay?”
Me: “He’s okay. Mum says he’s a wimp but when he comes home frightened and hurt and bleeding, it’s heartbreaking.”
Little Old Lady: “I’d take it up with his school if I were you!”

Intelligent, creative and beautiful.
Thankyou so much
Poor Mog.
Awww, thanks for the sympathy- he’s fine now. Purring away and fussing over his food as usual.
Oh no! Poor Mog! He isn’t named after Mog from Meg and Mog, is he? I used to love reading those books =]
I might just take a look at what you’re uploading onto tumblr as I have a file on my computer entitled ‘Inspiration for Art’ that I like to delve into!
That has to be the most amazing studio ever! It’s also good to see art that actually looks like art and not a headless mannequin with an erection being sold for 30,000 euros (yes, that was in an exhibition I went to see recently -.-)
What sort of novel is it that you’re writing? If I may ask?
xxx
Awwww, he thanks you for your concern and is purring away under my arm while I try to write.
No, he’s named after a children’s book called “Mog the Forgetful Cat”. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mog-Forgetful-Cat-Judith-Kerr/dp/000717134X
Sure- I’m posting a lot of my own photos (mostly old favourites at the moment) but am trying to post as many of my inspiration images as possible too.
LMFAO!!! I may have to go and see it, just for comedy value! Where is it? Why, oh why would you buy something like that, other than to annoy the in-laws???
The artist was lovely and it was good fun being allowed to nosey around the studio.
It’s sci-fi/fantasy. When the whole thing is done, I’ll post a ‘blurb’ and maybe the first chapter- depends if I’m brave enough, lol!
Hope all’s well in Vienna? Are you there over Christmas? That must be magical!!
xxxx
Pleased to hear Mog is well again =]
Christmas in Vienna is magical! I am getting sozzled on punch and mulled wine on a regular basis =P There are Christmas markets galore and it is the most Christmassy place on the planet! I’m not a big fan of the ‘German Christmas markets’ in England because they always seem to sell sausages and cheese! Over here you’ve got all sorts of fascinating trinkets from Austria and around the world!
Put it on your to do list! Vienna is such a beautiful city…don’t come January – March, the only thing to do here at that time is be miserable and frozen!
The mannequin with an erection was at the Dorotheum.Art Week Opening and I suppose you could always use it as something to put your coats on…what is an erection but a natural clothes peg? =P
And if you want to go and see more naked men… there is a large cardboard cut out of a naked (showing all!) at the Museums Quarter at the moment! http://www.leopoldmuseum.org/en/exhibitions/46/nude-men
And on Wednesday this week, seven naked people took fire extinguishers filled with paint and sprayed their naked silhouettes onto the tubes and trams! The police are looking for them though! =P
You should definitely post a blurb when you’re done with it =]
I’d love to write a novel but I only ever manage to write short stories! How do you manage to write so much? And how do you keep motivated / inspired?
Sorry for rambling about nakedness!
xxxx
Awww, thanks! He’s annoying me. Wants attention but I’m doing e-mails.
Yay!!! I love mulled wine- it’s one of the few alcoholic drinks I like. The market sounds amazing! I have a friend who’s visiting Dusseldorf at the moment so she can see the Christmas market there. I know what you mean about the UK ones though- I think people get nervous that English people won’t buy the unusual stuff. Hooray for Lidl though- it sells the gingerbread stuff…
LMFAO!!!!! Hooray for naked art! Though maybe statues with erections are a bit too much, even as a hatstand.
And never apologise for rambling about nakedness.
I am the queen of procrastination- seriously, I’m dreadful!!! As I want to write for a living and have a novel or five published, that’s kind of my motivation. (She says, procrastinating).

Wow. That’s…
…
… I’m really not sure what to say or make of this. :S
