And the beat goes on…

13 Nov

Ok, I know many of you will be wanting the latest on the Shaun Colclough saga. There are no longer any grey areas- he has committed crimes for which he can be punished and due to this, there is very little I can now say in public. I hope you understand. If I can update, I will.
Thankyou to the brave girls who have shared their stories.

Anyway… life is going on. How did it become Autumn so quickly??

I like Autumn- having red hair, I get to do artsy nudesy things against a backdrop of flaming leaves, be photographed bouncing around the old parts of town in greens and oranges, snuggle up in coffee shops with festive drinks… and eat chestnuts! (The barrow in Norwich is the BEST).

I found Autumn in Europe interesting- it seemed SO much more colourful than in England, with bluetits and nuthatches flying around for me to see. It was on the haziest of mornings that I shot with Schaap Photography (and former model- now photographer-in-training Joyce) in a woodland lake in Lelystad, which I’m told was reclaimed from the sea!

The lake was, of course, freezing. Allan captured my “I can’t feel my feet” face before I went into model mode.

Ahem…

And we took some black-and-whites too.

More from this shoot coming soon- we also shot some abstract art-nudes (some of my new favourites, I think!) in a desert that is in the middle of Holland for no apparent reason! Here are Joyce and me in action:

Allan’s lovely wife Lynne was also kind enough to do my make-up for this shoot! Having had some stressful moments in Amsterdam, Allan restored my faith in photographers!
He also left me this very nice reference:
I was approached recently by an English model, Roswell Ivory, who is also a friend of Ivory Flame, to ask if I was interested in doing a shoot with her on her upcoming tour of Europe. Of course I jumped at the chance to do a shoot with this talented and versatile model and we managed to plan a shoot for the 28th of October. Roswell took up my offer to stay over the night before because I wanted to make an early start in the morning to make the most of the soft light. I had also invited Joyce along for the shoot and she was also pleased at the chance to do a shoot with Roswell. We set off early in the morning and were able to find the location with little trouble having marked the spot on my GPS previously. We started off doing sets in the forest and then moved onto the beautiful pond nearby. Although it was pretty chilly, Roswell had no problem doing a few sets in the water, apart from a few squeals when she waded in ;). Being very aware of possible hypothermia, we shot quickly and allowed Roswell to warm up as often as possible. Who said that the model has an easy job? Being the professional that she is , she never complained once! We did a few more sets in the surroundings and moved on to the desert area which is a short drive away. Roswell was very surprised to see this phenomenon, a desert area right in the middle of the woodlands. Joyce and I did a few sets amongst the trees and in the sand and I decided to do a few art shots after seeing the wonderful shapes that Roswell was making. Following my directions I was able to capture some amazing images. Roswell is a total pro and I will certainly work with her again next year when she returns on her 2012 European tour.

I’m looking forward to a shoot on Wednesday in and around Norwich- The weather is due to be lovely and sunny! There are leaves, old buildings, cobbled streets and Christmas lights at dusk!

Loving your artistic nude pics! And I didn’t know you’re a friend of Ivory Flame! Wow… *envy*

Thanls! And yes, she’s lovely- most of the UK art-nude crew are friends, though it’s almost impossible to get us together in a room at the same time! :D
