Deadly Sins…

29 Jun

So, last weekend was weekend #2.

I got up at an obscene hour (6:45) and got the train to London for a photoshoot with Team Binkertson, the Festival Of Sin team and some lovely other models (Ella DeVine, Anita DeBauch, Easy Tiger, Boykitten and Madame Bink).

We were shooting for the posters publicising the event so got to act out the deadly sins in outfits by Lacing Lilith, Nikita Sablier, Ghoulia’s Peculiars and AM Statik latex. (It’s always good shooting Gluttony as cakes tend to appear…) I’m not going to reveal too much about what we were doing so the posters will be a surprise (and so the F of S team don’t kill me) but I will say:

- Yes, I appeared naked (as did others)

- There was an epic pile of cake

- Madame Bink found herself posing in one of the most painful positions I’ve seen in a long time

- It may be hard to recognise some of us (some got makeovers!)

- You may die with longing over Easy Tiger’s Lacing Lilith outfit.

Here are some backstage shots, collectively known as “How to cram fifteen or so people into one relatively small room.” It’s a bit hard to tell who’s who but I’ll do my best:

L-R: Ella DeVine, Dee, Easy Tiger, Me (Roswell Ivory), Anita DeBauch, Boykitten

L-R: Easy Tiger, Me (Roswell Ivory), May Lustreality, Boykitten, Ella DeVine, Paul Lacing Lilith, Adam Robertson

The studio building was amazing- it was some kind of art-hive. It was huge and made up of glass-covered fishbowl-style studios and art-covered corridors. Some rooms obviously belonged to clothing designers and others to musicians. I could have lived there- my artwork is taking over my flat!

I then went to Wagamama in Spitalfields for some lunch with Easy Tiger and Anita DeBauch (if you’ve never been to Wagamama, go immediately and have the dumplings). Lunch with friends is always good but even better when you are discussing vagina-themed events, army uniform, vegans and virginity loss (with actions). You have to love those surreal moments…

P.S. Here’s another photo from my shoot a while ago with Rebecca Tun. The only sin here may be having a shower with my clothes on, but what the heck- I like it.

My Day Off.

25 Jun

I just spent two weekends with the Festival Of Sin team!

Weekend #1

Usually if I’m in London I’m working, but weekend #1 was different as I came to visit friends and celebrate photographer Adam Robertson’s birthday! I was very excited when I realised I couldn’t actually remember the last time I went somewhere with no obligations or appointments at all.

I met up with Sophie (HMSlatex), Ruby True and Tony Mitchell (Fetishistas) to drink coffee and chat before going for some yummy Japanese food in Chinatown (yes, Chinatown). The salmon teriyaki bento box was amazing, and I managed my chopsticks. (I can use chopsticks with most things but still have problems with rice and noodles.)
We then caught the bus to the Purple Turtle in Mornington Crescent.

Wait… no we didn’t.

I hadn’t enough money on my oyster so while buying a ticket at the machine, the nice bus driver drove off without me. So I got the tube after getting a text to say the bus was actually going the wrong way. Oops. *^_^*

After being approved by the doormen at the Purple Turtle (who were rude, overzealous and nearly began cavity searching everyone), I got my free gift of a knitted éclair and got inside in time for some performances:
Ok, Fred and the Bears ROCKED!!! They are a cabaret team of Bears, and they have badges and teddies. Here’s a shot from their “fashion show”. :)

The compere:

What do nude models do on their day off?
Dance to Lady GaGa or course!
This is the lovely Madame Bink, and the back of Ivory Flame’s head.

I found some intriguing reading…

The talented Veronika Valentine did a fantastic show (can’t find pictures but take my word for it, she looked amazing) and I’m now saving up for some Nikita Sablier outfits after lusting after them in her fashion show.

The pics are by Dafydd.

I stayed with Anita DeBauch, who was also hosting Ivory Flame (who I hadn’t seen in ages!) and stayed up eating pizza and talking about films until the sun came up. Four hours sleep later and I was getting packed up so I could skip the engineering works (Norwich/London connections on a Sunday- let’s not go there) and get home at a reasonable time.

Had an fantastic weekend thanks to my most amazing friends and really must stop leaving it so long between just-for-fun nights out. Not that I don’t have fun when I’m working, but there is something very nice about knowing I can do anything/go anywhere and not worry that I have to be somewhere in a few hours.
I usually think only dead fish go with the flow, but this time I enjoyed doing just that. :o )

See you,

P.S. Weekend #2 coming soon…

German Fetish Ball: Part Two

8 Jun

Sunday:
I finally got a lie-in and then went exploring Hamburg with Sophie and Matthieu, which was something I didn’t have a chance to do.
We got the Metro (past a station called “Schlump”) to the very beautiful harbour. We walked under a bridge with a tiny homeless shanty town under it- there were people stewing things in pots, decorations tied to the fence and sleeping bags everywhere. I have to say I prefer that way of dealing with the homeless to the UK attitude of “keep moving them on and they’ll just evaporate eventually”.

We stopped for a drink in a gorgeous cosy café (Café Stark) in a little bohemian street, where everything was covered in art. I hate mindless “tagging” but love actual street art/graffiti.

We came across the Reeperbahn (red light district) by accident- just like Vegas but with sex shops and “live shows” instead of casinos! It was a bit disconcerting to see lines of very bored-looking prostitutes outside the fast-food places! Some were actually not bad looking- it is legal in Germany so the “street corner” girls aren’t all scummy crack-addicts. They all dressed like ravers, but less fluorescent.

Mmmmm dodgy sex shops…

Bought yummy Rittersport chocolate and got a taxi back to the hotel. Sleeeeeeeppp!

Monday:
AKA hometime! Hung out at the airport with Sophie, Matthieu and Kumi, found Movenpick ice-cream (vanilla yoghurt with poppy seeds and lavender) and after waving the Frenchies off, Kumi and I hit the VIP lounge. Free Baileys, free wi-fi, comfy sofas, yummy food, and piles of pickled onions for some reason. Both our flights were delayed (apparently some volcano went off) ;o)
Thanks Kumi for charming the very hot attendants into letting me onto her flight. Got back into London accompanied by the Bondinage and Velda Lauder team… and Christina Aguilera. (Aka Diane, who had been rushed through the queue under mistaken identity, LOL!!!!!)

(L-R: Matthieu, Sophie, Me, random guy)

Free Baileys was found (photos taken by Kumi)

Met up with my sis-in-law and stayed at her amazing hippy house which is covered in souvenirs, maps and cool stuff- and is also home to a large ball of purring black fluff called Mooshka. it’s nice to be back in time for summer!

Next weekend, I’m going to be in London for a night out with friends- though I love performing in shows, I’m looking forward to having a night out without working. I can’t remember the last time I went to London just for fun!  Had several shoots recently- pictures to come…

Here’s one of me bouncing around on stage for HMSlatex:

See you,
